If you had told me ten years ago that I’d be publishing market research, I would have laughed. I’m an electrical engineer by training. My world was circuits, systems, and signal processing — not stock charts and earnings reports.
But here’s the thing about engineering: it teaches you how to solve problems with data. How to build frameworks. How to separate signal from noise. And once I started applying that mindset to the stock market, everything changed.
Why “SAAM”?
SAAM isn’t a market acronym. It’s my family.
- S
- Saanvi
- my daughter
- A
- Aarav
- my son
- A
- Aesha
- my wife
- M
- Mitesh
- that's me
They’re the reason I started paying attention to money. When people depend on you, “I’ll figure it out later” stops being an option. Every hour I’ve spent studying the market has been for them, and their names on the masthead remind me of that each time I sit down to write.
Wealth isn’t a number on a screen. It’s what the number makes possible: time with your kids, security for your family, and the freedom to live on your own terms.
From $150,000 to $750,000 — and What I Learned Along the Way
Five years ago, my 401(k) sat at about $150,000. Today, that same account has grown to roughly $750,000, including the regular contributions I made along the way. I’m not telling you that to brag — I’m telling you because for most of those years, I had no formal financial training. No MBA. No CFA. No Wall Street pedigree. I was just a guy with an engineering degree, a brokerage account, and a stubborn refusal to hand my financial future to someone else without understanding what they were doing with it.
I taught myself. I read books, studied charts, dug into earnings reports, followed the economic calendar, and made plenty of mistakes along the way. I learned that technical analysis — studying price trends and momentum — works best when you pair it with fundamental analysis, which means understanding what a company is actually worth. And I learned that none of it makes sense unless you zoom out and understand the bigger picture: what the Federal Reserve is doing, where we are in the economic cycle, and which sectors of the market are positioned to benefit.
That three-lens approach — technical, fundamental, and macro — is what SAAM Capital is built on.
Who SAAM Capital Is For
Maybe you’re the person at work who just started paying attention to your 401(k) and realized you have no idea what the funds inside it actually do. Maybe you’ve been investing for years but feel like you’re guessing more than analyzing. Maybe you’re chasing early retirement and you want a more disciplined approach to growing your portfolio.
Wherever you are on that spectrum, SAAM Capital is for you.
Here’s what I believe: you don’t need a finance degree to manage your own money well. What you need is a framework, good data, and someone willing to explain what it all means without talking down to you or trying to sell you something.
That’s what SAAM is. Think of it as the resource I wish I had when I started — clear, honest market analysis that respects your intelligence and your time.
What You’ll Get
Every trading day there are two briefs. The Morning Brief arrives before the market opens — a concise snapshot of overnight futures, what’s moving in pre-market, which S&P 500 sectors are worth watching, and the key economic data on deck for the day. The Closing Brief follows after the bell, with what moved and why. Each is designed to take five minutes to read.
Every weekend there is a Weekly Recap that steps back to the bigger picture: the macro trend, sector rotation, and what to watch in the week ahead.
Members also get the deeper work: Stock Focus reports with specific price levels, fundamental valuation and an honest look at both the bull case and the bear case; options ideas; and recaps of the major earnings reports. I’ll tell you what the data suggests and, just as importantly, what would prove me wrong.
What SAAM Capital Is Not
I need to be upfront about something: I am not a financial advisor. I’m not going to tell you what to buy, how much to invest, or when to sell. That’s not what this is.
What I will do is show you how I look at the market — the same approach that helped me grow my own account significantly over the past five years. I’ll share analysis, explain my reasoning, and teach you the tools so you can make your own informed decisions. Every directional view I share will come with the evidence behind it and the conditions that would change my mind.
The market humbles everyone eventually. I’ve been wrong before and I’ll be wrong again. What I can promise is that I’ll always be honest about the data, transparent about uncertainty, and focused on helping you learn — not on pretending I have all the answers.
Let’s Build This Together
I started this journey trying to build a better future for my family. Along the way, I realized that the framework I developed might help other families do the same thing.
Whether you’re trying to understand what the Fed’s latest decision means for your portfolio, figure out which sectors tend to perform well in different parts of the economic cycle, or simply learn how to read a stock chart — I’m glad you’re here.
Create a free account, and let’s get to work.
