Apple's revenue rose 12% to $114.5 billion in its September quarter, led by a 17% rise in iPhone sales. Earnings per share rose 14% to $2.10, helped by tariff refunds, and both topped forecasts.

The Quarter in Brief

Apple reported its fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, the three months ended September 26, 2026, after the market closed on Monday, November 2. Revenue was $114.5 billion, up 12% from $102.5 billion a year earlier and the highest for any September quarter in the company's history. Diluted earnings per share were $2.10, up 14% from $1.85. Apple said $0.05 of that came from refunds of tariffs it had paid earlier; without them, earnings per share were $2.05, up 11%.

Both figures were ahead of what analysts had expected: about $113.4 billion of revenue and $1.99 of earnings per share. The iPhone did most of the work. Its revenue rose 17% to $57.6 billion, a record for the September quarter, and Mac revenue rose 24%, while iPad and the Wearables, Home and Accessories category both shrank. Sales in Greater China rose 21%. It was also the first report under John Ternus, who became chief executive on September 1, with Tim Cook moving to executive chair, and it closed a fiscal year in which revenue rose 15% to a record $478.8 billion.
