AMD's third-quarter revenue rose 45% to a record $13.4 billion as Data Center sales grew 97%. It forecast fourth-quarter revenue of about $17 billion, up about 66% from a year earlier.

The Quarter in Brief

AMD reported its third quarter of 2026, the three months ended September 26, after the US market closed on Tuesday, November 3. Revenue was a record $13.38 billion, up 45% from $9.25 billion a year earlier, above the $13.10 billion analysts had expected according to Financial Modeling Prep, and above the top of AMD's own forecast range of $12.7 billion to $13.3 billion. Earnings per share on AMD's non-GAAP basis were $2.09, against $1.20 a year earlier and an expected $1.95. Reported (GAAP) earnings per share were $1.46, up from $0.75, after a $1.10 billion non-cash charge on warrants AMD has issued to customers, partly offset by a $555 million tax benefit.

What set this quarter apart was the size of the Data Center segment. Its revenue rose 97% to $8.55 billion, nearly two-thirds of the total, as AMD began shipping its Instinct MI450 accelerators and its first Helios rack-scale systems, while Gaming revenue fell 40%. AMD forecast fourth-quarter revenue of about $17 billion, plus or minus 3%, which at the midpoint would be 66% more than a year earlier.
